Martin Sullivan is a family owned and operated, 4th generation, large and small ag dealership. It was established in 1926 at a farmhouse in Roanoke IL and has grown into a multi-location corporation with 13 locations in central and western Illinois. The Corporate Service Manager is responsible for overseeing assigned service region which includes the growth and development of assigned employees.  This position will ensure the continued growth of assigned customer base and financial performance through the alignment of systems, people and processes. 

Responsibilities:

Supervises employees.  Performs annual performance review and determines compensation increases.   Administers discipline; authority to hire and terminate employees.  Recognizes and advances quality people.  Ensures growth opportunity for competent employees.

Works with employees to provide a safe and productive work environment.

Manages expenses.

Support and approve Service Managers development of annual marketing plan and budget.

Coaches and advises Service Managers as needed to ensure positive employee and customer relations including the execution of Service learning paths and employee performance reviews.

Communicates Service goals, provides resources and direction, and ensures goals are met.  

Visits assigned branches a minimum of one day per week.

Ensures processes are consistent between stores and other service regions.

Meets with customers as needed to resolve issues, grow business and build strategic partnerships.

Grows Service's position in the markets its serve.  Evaluates customers' expectations and demands and analyzes Service's ability to meet those expectations and demands.  Works with employees to ensure customer needs are being met.

Evaluates the competition for potential changes in our operating strategies.

Confirms business is being conducted in alignment with core values.

Evaluates tool needs and ensures purchases are completed correctly according to Service guidelines.

Ensures warranty, service policy, and goodwill is addressed and processed within company guidelines.

Uses service technology and programs to perform daily job duties.

May accomplish training and serve as a team member in support of Service's strategic programs, projects, and initiatives.

Works within and promote corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.

Make recommendations to COO and CEO.

Adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.

Actively cares and advocates safety in Service Dept.

Monitor and implement processes to improve workflow and communication between departments (service, parts, sales, IS); Facilitate teamwork within the stores. 

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems required.  

Knowledge or ability to learn Service specific technology.

Proven skills in written and verbal communications, planning, organizing, leadership and interpersonal relationship building.

Ability to set and ability to maintain decorum under stressful situations

Exemplary administrative and managerial skills

Drive and maintain company vehicle.

Must be a self-starter and able to work without supervision.

Consistent attendance.

 High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Associates Degree from an accredited vocational school preferred.

Five years' experience in an agriculture equipment of heavy equipment environment performing related tasks required. 

Three years of supervisory experience required.

Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
