It was established in 1926 at a farmhouse in Roanoke IL and has grown into a multi-location corporation with 13 locations in central and western Illinois. The Parts Manager manages parts operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control. Optimizes parts department processes. Effectively engages department personnel by recommending training and preparing employee performance evaluations.

Responsibilities:

o Communicates, enforces and monitors effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction

o Promotes and merchandises parts and accessories in conjunction with marketing programs and spurts

o Assists in developing and adhering to Parts Department goals and budget

o Assist in developing and executing Parts Department marketing plan

o Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter procedures

o Submits all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit

o Maximizes use of all order discount programs to achieve management stock order goals

o Ensures all department tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working order

o Manages employee development activities for employees reporting to this position

o Participates in marketing programs

o Manage employee scheduling and afterhours coverage

o Manage employee performance through coaching, performance evaluations and KRAs

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

o Experience leading others

o Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions

o Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups

o Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operations

o Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports

o Ability to work extended hours and weekends

o Excellent customer service skills

o High School Diploma or equivalent experience
